About the role:
The GRC Assistant in Alcoa’s ITAS department supports global IT compliance by helping execute, maintain, and improve centralized control processes. The role focuses on reviewing control effectiveness, supporting automation, managing dashboards, documentation, reports, and risk tracking, while enabling cybersecurity and compliance activities. It also identifies opportunities to enhance value through simplification, AI, and automation aligned with digital objectives.

Other key responsibilities include:
Execute and support centralized account and security controls, including quality checks, data analysis, trend identification, and issue follow-up across global regions.
Develop and maintain Power BI reports for Identity Management, Cyber Defense, and ITAS GRC.
Drive improvements in the compliance program using AI, automation, and digital tools such as Copilot.
Support ticket resolution in IDM reporting and GRC ServiceNow queues.
Analyze GRC and cybersecurity data (e.g., risk, remediation, control metrics) to support decision-making and awareness initiatives.
Maintain GRC documentation, reports, presentations, and platforms (e.g., SharePoint and Optro), ensuring proper organization and compliance.
Assist with audits, training programs, communications, and continuous improvement efforts, including tracking lessons learned and best practices.
What you can bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (completed or expected by Dec 2026).
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools, Power BI, Copilot, Excel Macros, SQL, VB scripting, and data analytics/reporting tools.
Knowledge of GRC software solutions.
Understanding of identity and access management concepts and tools.
Experience or familiarity with ServiceNow for IT service management processes.
Knowledge of IT/security frameworks and regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR, COBIT, ISO 27001/27002).
Strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills in English, and a proactive, self-learning mindset.
